I am woking on a custom volume/gain pedal for guitar. Does anyone have a VERY SIMPLE gain circuit functioning on 9vdc for this application. It needs to be controllable by a potentiometer.

I have been useing this one for years now, it seems to cover my needs just fine and is simple to make. It could probably be improved abit, but it does the job as is.
