mic pre to compete with ua 610

im looking for something to build that i can get a pcb for but source parts myself. If im going to do the work id like it to sound similar to the ua 610. does the green pre or one of those fit this bill? (tube is prefered but not mandatory)

The 610 is a tube preamp (which I've used) and the green preamp is solid state (which I haven't). Given that, I doubt they'd sound anything alike. The only tube preamp around here I know of with boards is the G9.

thanks ill check that out. im not stuck on tube, solid state can sound real nice, i just know the 610 is a sound im after right now.
