Hi everyone,
I've learned a lot on this board. I built an 1176 using mnats's boards, a couple of Reamps, a 4-channel rackmount phantom power supply for my Ampex MX-10, and am currently working on:
- Electronics for my Ecoplate plate reverb: Restoration site
- Restoring an RCA 86-A1 broadcast limiter: RCA 86-A1 limiter site and manual
I wanted to give something back, so I thought I'd drop you guys pointers to Web sites I've built about these projects.
Additionally, I haven't seen a manual or schematic on the Web for the RCA 86-A1 limiter, so I thought I'd add these to the knowledge collective. This beautiful compressor is from the late 1940s, and is a good example of equipment made to last a lifetime. A little freshening up and it'll be back in service for another 50 years!
Cheers,
Andy
