I just stumbled across this Japanese page. It appears that many of the schematics were harvested from elsewhere on the web, but it's a nice collection.

There´s an interesting auto-bias circuit in there. Take alook:

Forgot where, but I've seen this somewhere. I guess it just works by drawing a current of 15/330 (plus some 'household' current-component for the 7815 itself).
