Can't find published specs on Yamaha PM 1000 input and output transformers.

Does anyone have accurate info on this ?

1. Primary : secondary impedances
2. ratio's for input and output
3. part #'s and wiring hookup info.

Seems there should be a chart in the Meta for this but there is'nt.

time to make one

its in the meta, if indirectly.

o/p 600:600
i/p ?

wiring here:

Dsparks - thanks for the links , however I think Indirectly is certainly the word for this.

I was hoping for a small chart like the Neve transformers.

When reading thru the posts there are a lot of what if's and I think, but I'm looking for 'it is'.

There is little info on connecting transformer part #'s with wiring hookup, impedances and ratio's. If I can get the info I'll create the chart so its an easy reference for all. right now its kinda indirect here say/ there say.

PM1000 iso transformer is 600:600 , i think it is very big then have good low ferq respond.

that is odm by tamura

1: 600ohm : 600 ohm
2: 1:1
3: N/A

Well, I guess , I'm not gonna get to far with this question until I do some more diggin around

CJ thanks for dropping in , I suspect you know a little more than I on these transformers , yes ?

PM1000 - fill in the blanks

Tamura Input 300:2k7 (1:9) ( model # GA80071)
Wiring primary : secondary ?

Tamura output 600:600 (1:1) ( model # GA80080 )
Wiring primary : secondary ?

getting closer to all the info , just need wiring diagram for both with color scheme

If you want a freaky 600, start with the WE 117 and work your way up.

Tamura is big nickel core, youncan get them cheap, on evilbay, sleeper xfmr, dont tell nobody , ya here?

Actually I do not like old audio transformer like WE ``etc

most old audio transformer not very good because cores, you know magnetic metals corp 's core now better than old as noise or magnetic flux.

So many WE UTC as rubbishs in DIY market in china. I test them then have very low performance by audio precision or NI 4461

Which ones have poor performance , WE and UTC , please give model #'s.

Maybe there just bad transformers.

It seems the frequency curves in older transformers like these would be different than newer transformers due to iron nickel formula and purity in wires, winding turns etc. ( CJ ?)

have you done a listening test rather than just specs on a Audio one analyzer ? I'm not fully convinced with test equipment until I have heard the results with analog ears.

What is a fair price for the Tamura GA 80080 output transformer ?

it seems prices vary considerably on this
