Schoeps mod mic problem

Gents,

This is my first venture into mic mods and need some input. I'm sure its covered somewhere in the Meta's but couldn't find it right off. I did the Dorsey circuit on an MXL V67 and I hear the capsule work for a few seconds then just noise. Is the capsule F'd or where should I start diagnosing this problem? Imagine it has something to do with the charge on the capsule.

If someone can direct me to a thread that details this newbie mic mod problem I'd much appreciate it.
