Hi guys and girls,

How are you all mounting windows into front panels?

I want to put a little perspex or glass window to see a component in action. I was going to glue some perspex in place, but is there a good way to get the edges looking neat and professional?
Maybe I need some kind of frame?

All suggestions and inspiration greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Yes I do, but.... They're the wrong size, or at least I can't find small thin ones.

OK - I'll rephrase the Q. HAs anyone found a good way to DIY a custom sized meter glass and bezel?

It's a good idea - thanks!
I had a quick look at Farnell last night and couldn't see anything suitable. But maybe my keywords were wrong. I'll keep looking.

Actually it's a lot of work, but if you use perspex you can file the edges, and then sand them down to the finest grade (like 1600, the kind of grade used for finishing car paintjobs), and then use some plastic polish to get a perfect "see trough" finish.
