SSL issues...

I finally got all my parts in and fired it up for the first time. It's passing audio, however I don't think it's working properly.

The threshold control seems to be super sensitive. All the way down the signal is almost inaudible. And the makeup gain doesn't seem to have very much gain at all.

I used a 1ma lin scale meter from mouser. I'm just wondering if they resistor should be different because it barey moves during the most extreme compression. I know a couple other people have mentioned this meter, so I'm wondering if if requires a different size resistor.
