I have aquired a pair of these Collins Monitor amps:
I'm not sure what console they came from but they use a pair of 6V6's and 1ea. 5879. also they have the same input and output xformers as the Collins 26U. I was thinking of parting them out to build a 26U. Has anybody in the group built one or have they really used one in the studio? Do the work pretty good. Are they anything close to the Fairchild. Does anybody have a complete manual of the 26U that they would be willing to share/trade. (I have only the schematic) I also have the Collins 356A1 Preamp I might be willing to part with.
(PM any offers). This could be my first new project for next year.
