THAT 1646 on 2mix, +6db gain, reduce fader buffer gain?

I installed some THAT 1646's to balance to output of my 400b. Since they add 6db, it has a bit too much gain. Are there any issues with adjusting the gain of the 5532 fader buffer so it is reduced by 6db?
 
What you could do is to halve the input to the 1646s and let it bring the level back with its balancing. Or better, reduce the gain of the 2-mix summing amps and let the balancing chip bring it back to +4.
The downside of this is that your metering goes out the window!!
