Reviving a very old thread relating to the valvecaster. I purchased a Valvecaster kit from a European company called Tube Town. Although there were no instructions, I was able to get it working and it sounds really nasty and good and we love it
However, this particular pedal seems to be exceptionally vulnerable to EMF. I suspect it is EMF because it is a digital clock noise that happens on a regular pattern. It does not sound like RF - it does not happen all the time.

As I am opening up the box and looking inside of my build, I noticed that there is nothing grounded to the enclosure. I’m guessing that might be a cause.

The step I am about to take is to create that connection from both the input and output 1/4” TS jacks to a screw in the enclosure.

My question was whether you think it would be necessary to also include a connection to enclosure from the negative pole of the power supply jack as well.
