Your favourite microphone(s) with G9 ??

Hi,

What is your favourite microphone/s for G9 ??

i'm looking to buy some new mics in the next months and i have finally finished my G9.
Now i have sm57,58 and Akg C214. i love it with everyones !
Mainly for recording vox, acoustic guitars and amp cabs.

Any advices ??

Hi,

What transformers did you use and how does it sound in general?

I have a pair of the inexpensive MXL 603S mics and they are fabulous with my G9.
I swapped some capacitors in them per the Gus mods however.

Hi,
I recorded drums and used the G9 with overhead mics (KM84). MBHO mics are excellent small condenser mics as well and worth the money. I also did vocal recordings with UM57 and G9, absolutely unbelievable dream team.

Lundahl In-out.
Sound really good, with a clear top end.

Yes KM84 are great mics. I would like to try the mods Oktava MK-012, a lot of people say they sound really close to the KM184.
