Hey guys,

I'm looking for a basic unit, say just for my bareessentails my G5,Monitors,Screen, 002.  Rack mounted would add coolness points in the studio but not essential if prices are considerably cheaper.

Problem being that the main ELCB power switch keeps tripping..... we've tracked it down to the water pump out side in the garage, it sets the mains switch when engaged but only sporadically, so until that gets properly looked at I need a saftey net.

Ideally I only need around 5 mins battery power as it's just a case of when the power trips I just got to flip the switch, which takes less than a minute.

Talk to me..... :)

You need to add up the wattage of everything you plan on using with it. A typical 750-1000W unit will hold up a single Desktop computer and flatscreen for a few min.

A good unit will have software that shuts down your box to prevent any problems.

Last, your typically better off without the rack mounted form factor for cost. They will also be very heavy and in server class length which is about 30" long
