wanted: NO.1 DIY MASTERING COMPRESSOR

Hi guys,

as i need a mastering compressor soon, i wonder if there are any projects available on those compressors...

i own a portico 5043 but as it is not fast enought, it's not a preferable choice....

what are your recommendations on that?

Igor's MixBuzz1 with full options!!! Just perfect for mastering, it could be very transparent, add glue on a mix without changing it. You manage the low end with the sidechain filters, medium freq (like guitars) with the Release but keep the vocal intact. You make a thick compressed mix, then add some wet signal and let the result breath!!! And the dual release made the compressor impossible to pump.

I have originals 33609 and Tube Tech LCA2b, but for the mixbuss, I go for Mixbuzz.

there is also Ruckus' SB4000.  if you have 500 series, you should check out ruck's SB4001, which is the bee's knees
