The CNC machine is one hundred % diy as well! Some parts were made by a friend but it was all designed by me. As for speeds and feeds the spindle its running at about 8000rpm and I'm cutting at 200 MM per minute. No coolant or cutting fluid, I found that it just keeps the chips in the holes. And the holes are so small there really isn't any heat generated.

I am planning on skinning them myself, They can be either a k67 or k87 style for now. I hope to sell some for the u87 boards by poctop. Check out the thread in the microphone section, I have sound samples of my first prototype. Its on page 34.
