Prosonus ACP-88 and Alto CLE-8 mods

HI Everyone,

Just wondered whether anyone knew of an good mods to bring these units up in quality and functionality.
I have had a look around but have not found anything.

Functionally whats wrong? The ACP 88 is a pretty decent compressor (for fitting 8 channels in a shallow 2u) I've used one in my live rig for years.

The ACP-88 is pretty much a THAT 4301 analog engine. The gate is clicky at fast attack settings, but this can actually be useful as a special effect. Aside from that, it is what it is. 8 channels of comp/gate in an easy to use package that is optimized for live sound.

Hi guys,

ok thats fine, it is what it is, think i will just keep as is and probably sell on same with the ART pro VLA.
Then i will move onto getting a design which is more functional for 8 channels of gates here in the DIY.

I do remember reading somethign about putting a cap on the gate to get rid of that click a LOOOONG time ago, never did it, but to be honest with you I actually utilize the click (esp on kick drum)

The click is useful for getting some attack on kick drums with no hole in their front head.
