Hi I made a few microphone circuits now mostly tube have noticed myself one tube of same type may sound different to another of the same type I have also read this a lot iin mic building threads.
Has anyone had this problem with FETs ? .... I havent noticed myself ..... I see folks cloning particuler mics trying to get that magic sound of the mic but the tube can throw in another variable the EF86 tube seems to come up a lot...
Arre FETs (of same type) more consistant sounding than tubes ?
would love to hear any thoughts
