Hi everyone
I don't post very often but I'd like to share this Microphone we have been working on.
If there is any place on the net that would like this it would be here.
we call her the Model-77, this is what we call a custom microphone, all hand worked fabricated. it's a dynamic.
guidance would be much appreciated, we would like to move forward with this design let us know your thoughts.
thanks everyone this forum is super!

Oh yeah I should put that stuff down also.
The mic is cool it sounds great on drums, we would dare say better than the expensive dynamics we own, real good on horns, guitar cabs and vocals. it's got a wide bandwidth and a large transducer 38.5 mm, it's condenser like in sound but with the transients of a dynamic.  It plays really well with eq also. it's pretty musical sounding.
Here is the write up we came up with so far.  I don't want to step on toes by promoting this on the wrong section, we are artist/musicians who came up with a cool mic and we would love to make a lot more of these.. thanks for everyone's input good or bad.

Beautiful - and a very good idea.

Do you really make the transducer element yourself, or is it a alternative-use headphone element?

Can you really do hyper-cardioid with a housing like that?

Much respect!

Thank you for you kind words, It's the sum of all the parts would be the best way to describe the build.  It doesn't have a long tube like wave guide like most microphones but it has the volume.  We designed the body in a sense to be the cartridge.  we do use a raw transducer in this model , and have some good transducer designs but lack the needed gear to build them from complete scratch in the shop right now in any timely manner.  the side porting of the body contributes to the microphones pattern.  thanks again. :).
