The Failchild 660 Limiter Compressor use the 1017 SELENIUM RECTIFIER, Can I use the 1016 SELENIUM RECTIFIER to replace the 1017? Please check out the parameters on the picture. Best wishes.

no need to go old school,

using a solid state bridge would not impact the function of the 660 at that location,

you could use 4 ea. 1N4007 diodes or a bridge, what ever is easiest to stuff in the board,

if you are building a replica and want it to look exactly like the original, you could shop evilbay and possibly find the original selenium part,

 
forgot to add that you might need to make voltage adjustments via the dropping resistors as a solid state rect will not have as much voltage drop as the old selenium rect, therefore with solid state you will have higher voltages for the same transformer,
