Soldering Gotham GAC-7 cable to Binder 691 connector?

Hi,
I have a question about soldering Gotham GAC-7 cable to a Binder 691 type cable connector?

Specifically, I am curious  about how to tie the shield to the ground pin. When I twist the copper sheilding up it is relatively massive. There is no dedicated shield connection and the connection for circuit ground is very small.

I am wondering how others make this connection. Close up photos would be greatly appreciated!

Wrap a thin wire around the screen braiding. Solder that, cut off the excess braiding. Then wire that to the terminal.
Done!
