I am sure I mentioned this album before but I am mentioning it again because I have had it on all morning  as test material on some stuff before the AES show. We moving like crazy around here for preparation to show off the big new hotness we will have at the booth.  Anyway Normally in the Shop we play triple J radio from down under but today it's this album. Classic 1970's awesomeness that from the release date has me thinking it was done on 2" 16 track and not 2" 24 track. but either or  what a great album. Check out instruments like electric tuba, theremin, and awesome arrangements.

For metalwork its the pogues I like the most. High on coffe and drilling holes while singing Irish Republic drinking songs has become my little slice of heaven even though I don't love it (frankly I'm not great at it). Otherwise sludge and crust punk bands fit the bill.
For soldering its classical, Andre Segovia, maybe some atmospheric black metal, a little Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits. Oh and sometimes Mars Volta.
Component sourcing and design is eastern European gypsy music; taraf de haidouks, kokani orkestar, etc..
