hello gents,
i have 2x EMT156 but sadly none is working 100%.
my plan is to learn about how it works as much as i can then attempt to fix em both.
when they work they are _awesome_. imHo.
after buying and collecting some documentations of the unit, i started to make a GER-ENG service manual:

so far i have a few basic questions :
* can i just throw out the whole PSU and build a simple 317/337 based PSU? the document says "the (EMT) PSU will produce 710mA and 740mA with full load"
i already started collecting the rare components, but a few things are missing still. for eg.:
* where to find MPS834 transistors? 2N834 seems to have approx double the switching speed of the MPS version. any other alternatives to the MPS834?
* later i would like to add some HP SC to the detector circuit, whats the best solution in this case?
