Hi Guys

I am working on a Pre for a buddy of mine based on the "Eclipse C"  micpre.

The original uses 6 Shadow 4 pole switches.  2 of them are -20db and -30db pads
one is a Mic/line switch and 3 are preamp gain switches which you can use in
any combination.  Way to complex !! The gain device is a SPA-62 DOA.

In my version I am keeping the 2 pad switches dumping the mic/line switch
and changing the gain switch to a 11 position Grayhill and keeping the SPA-62.

Added is a 2pole 20Hz-250HZ  Variable  Hipass and a  Fader amp/line amp with
Trafo out.  These 2 stages are using gar6220 DOAs but OPA604s can sub in
as a variation. This is a split 24v situation as is being built as a 500 51x module .

This guy uses a 7341PC input trafo and a 7393PC output trafo.  The JE-123 -SLPC
can be used for the output as this is the same transformer  as the 7393PC.

This is the illustrator artwork print on the front panel.
I will convert to HPGL for FPE

Here are both versions.

The 7341PC input trafo on the OPA604 version is a custom
Cinemag wind left over from my Sphere/API sidecar project.

I'll post more as this project progresses. :)

These look awesome!  Any chance you'll be selling kits?

mylesgm..

Had not really thought about it.  The biggest problem is input trafos. These guys are very nonstandard not
off the shelf trafos.  This Pre design  was for my friend Andy who is sitting  on some trafos from some
discarded Sphere cards that he owns and I know that he has none to spare.  That said, Cinemag can custom
wind them but I don't know what David's min quantities are.  The only other hard part is actually  an off the
shelf pot from AML.  The L bracket and knobs are drilled out CAPI goodies.  The front panel is from front panel express.
The rest is standard Mouser stuff.  At this point I do have great assembly docs  that I wrote up for Andy.

I may have a VERY FEW leftover PCBs that I could be talked out of.  Making kits of these guys would
be a large undertaking.... so maybe.  ;)

I'd love one or two of those leftover PCBs.  If you can share your drill template that'd be good enough of a kit for me.

Just built a ten pack of these in a CAPI 51x rack and PSU for a buddy of mine.
Love the new APEM knobs.  That is what Sphere used in the old days.
Here is the whole rig on the bench burning in.
