I am an amateur at DIYer and hope to build a clone at some point (I have a UA unit).
One thing that seems unusual about the 1176 is that despite the quoted quick attack and release times it still allows users to dial in the "slower" attack and quicker release combinations for adding punch to bass and snare drums.
How is this possible, because even with the "slowest" attack time is 800 microseconds? I presume it's a combination detection, timing law and the knee?
