My friend Perry Margouleff recorded it in Memphis with the originals of the equipment that is cloned here. Telefunken, AKG, Neumann, RCA, Pye, Pultec, Fairchild, Neve, etc. record chains. Many of the musicians are the session cats who played on the original tracks, and some are their children.
Real music, real musicians, no overdubs, most songs under 18 tracks recorded to 2", some are first takes, mixed discreet to 1" Ampex. No digital equipment damaged the integrity of the process until mastering to CD.
It is truly an audiophile recording.
