Hey guys,

I've been trying to find a metal shop in North America to cut some aluminum sheet for the metal work for my Spectra Sonics console project - channel strips, fader panels, meter bridge, fader escutcheons - you know - the normal stuff..

I have complete mechanical drawings but the shops I am contacting are blowing me off - the order will be over $1000, which is a lot for me, but chump change for any big shop…

It would be great if someone had a relationship with a metal shop that would take on a small project.

any ideas? Anything at all would help.

thanks!
Timothy

Front panel express.

They did all the custom panels on my Sphere/Api project

Wow Gary - that looks fantastic…

did you use their program or send them CAD files?

let me ask - did you do banks of 4 preamps/faders for price or ease of mounting?

Did they do the fader panel as well?

thanks so much - I thought for some reason they only did RU stuff…

A little of both but it was much cheaper to do groups of 4

Yes

Timothy.. They can do almost anything you can dream up (no steel and no brake work)
I've been using them for years for 500 series and other goodies.  BTW.. their
work is VERY FIRST CLASS!!

Best

GARY
