hey everyone, i just finished a u87 build and want to protect this bad boy in some way.  any suggestions for microphone cases?  preferably ones that would fit the mount as well.  i like the idea of a nice looking inexpensive wood case but i'd be fine with a road ready modern looking option too.

thought i'd check here.

I've found that a Midleton Very Rare (Irish Whiskey) box works quite well for this body.  Add some pick and pull foam and you've got a great case.  Not enough room for the mount however.

yeah, i like the look of it too.  too bad it's $130 bucks.  if I cared about the whiskey i'd maybe go for it.

any others?

Do you know anyone who loves whiskey?

Share the price. He/she gets the bottle, you get the box. Who could resist such a deal?

BTW, there are plenty fancy wine boxes, too. Don't know about the fit of the lining, if there is one.
Lyricalgeek, did you use the lining?

For lining I went over to:

If you want it covered with velour or satin, a quick run down to your local fabric shop and your all set.
