Hi guys
finally I found some time to build a stereo troodent pre but I was thinking to add eq board like s800...
Does anyone made this kinda project?
Actually in The troodent board there is a eq insert and 30vdc for poweing the eq. ..but I'm not sure if it could be possibile. ..s800 runs with +\- 18 if I remember well
Thank you
Chrys

Well, I made the Trident A range channel (pre + EQ)  by examining original channels and schematics.

The originals used 24 v and 44 v power rails if I remember right.
I don't know anything about troodent or s800s.

Hi Dmp
thank you for your replay...
I already saw your project  and it looks fantastic but I just wanted to use the board that I bought  from a forum member
this is the troodent  preamp

and this is the s800 eq

What I was wondering was if I can put tham together to create a channel strip
thanks anyway for your help
;)

Thank you so much  Peterc  :)
just to understand  well... can I connect the 30vdc from the troodent board to s800?
What's  happen to the audio transformes?
I mean, if I use just the eq with line in ,is the out tranny on the curcuit or not?
I also wanted to add a trimmer out to turn down the gain when I increase some frequency
Do you think I can do it?
Thank again
:D

It sounds like you need the flexibility of 2 separate units.

The power supply can be used with some extra circuitry, but needs more thought than build a second PSU.

If you are using the insert points, the transformers will be in circuit.

If you need more or less gain, you could use the mic pre for that.

Hope it helps
Peter

Sure Peterc
it helps thank you
This is what I was thinking about...2 different psu and maybe a second out transformer. ...Let's see what gonna happen. ..I'll let you know
meanwhile thanks again
;)
