Building a compressor using an old Siemens u273s

Hi guys. Recently i bought a siemens u273s limiter. And i was lucky enough to get the schematics from Michael here in the forum.
The thing is the unit is a disaster! Almost imposible to figure out whats wrong with it.
So my idea was to use all the parts especially the trafos. So i have the original schematic and i was thinking of building it from scratch. But why not make extra fun?!! Could it be turned into a compressor design?! Its currently a limiter with no variables.
The schematic is in the technical documens area. Even a limiter with attack and release responde would be nice,,,,adding ratio would be amazing!!!

I have U273b and is it amazing compressor but only have release and program setup without attack!

But would be good to have attack option!

One meter was broken so I change the both!

What kind of meter is the necesary in this unit?
