Is it possible to convert these to XLR?  I have three with no cables. The original cables take a special fitting with spade connectors configured 90deg apart.

The mics are unusual and may (maybe not) good in the studio. They are surely not good enough to have this mod done by someone who specializes in doing this mod, especially since they're English and I'm in California.

To be honest - completely not worth  :)
Did you ever opened it?
If not, check the capsule first.
I had three of those and a different model with similar capsule.
Only one had valid capsule, rest was unglued.
All mikes had rest of the foam sticked to the diaphragms.
Diaphragms are made from aluminium and any work with it is really hard - even cleaning.
Did you tried it? If not, put bare wires to the holes in the mike and test it.
It sounds weird even for "effect" mike :)
Only XLR which coud fit (i think, i didn't measure diameter) is mini XLR, without cutting mike body..
