I have just finished building a Hairball Audio 1176 rack compressor and finished the calibration process. Everything is working properly with the exception of the Release knob which seems to have no effect whatsoever. The unit sounds good and I am almost positive that everything else is working correctly so how should I go about troubleshooting this issue? Thanks for your time!

Threads like these invariably get directed toward the main thread so I'll go ahead and be the one that does it this time. The good thing about putting it in the main thread is that it makes a sort of database that people can search and browse in the future (check out the "smart search" and try it out in the main thread).
