Sony C37 Heater Volts

I am sure you no the 6AU6 tube heater is rated at 6.3V but it is possible Sony runs it at less than this for life and noise reasons.
By the way, I have a stack of 6AU6 tubes that I have left over from my early mic pre experiments. If you want half a dozen or so for spares I am happy to send them to any C37 or C800G owner for the cost of shipping.

I quickly googled the issue and came across this paper from 1944:

On page 4 there's a table with various tested tubes (heater section only), and the 6.3v-rated heater ones, in the "reduced voltage" section, looks like they were ran at 4.72v, so... I'm thinking you might consider rounding that up to 5v or so

This one currently sits at ~ 5.3V. (depending were the mains voltage wanders off too) I suspect Sony ran it at lower volts to reduce noise but this seems a bit too low, I vaguely remember other mics running them at 5.8V. Replacing the vintage wire wound series resistors and mounting new ones is a bit of a pain.
