Hi!

I'm looking for a transformer going into a c12 build I'm putting together. Is there any Lundahl transformer that is a drop in replacement for a akg c12 microphone (i'm using the same circuit as the c12). With my somewhat limited experience of transformers the closest I found is this one: http://www.lundahl.se/wp-content/uploads/datasheets/1576_77.pdf Any pointers of comments would be appreciated.

Cheers!

Yeah, it's not a bad match. Frequency response in-circuit pretty close to a current production T14/1 from AKG (which you can still buy I think). I did some tests a while back.

Go with the Haufe T14/1.

Last time I ordered they where around 45 EUR. The only downside is you need a minimum order value of 120 EUR when ordering directly.

Just order three and sell them onwards... ;)

they are 60€ plus vat now.

I ordered 2 and need only one, so I could sell you one.
pm, if interested, I'm located in Berlin.

Only tube microphone output transformer from Lundahl is LL1940.

Many of their transformers are suitable for tube mics. That is just the only one that they specifically market towards tube mics.

Excuse slow answer... Holyday.

I think ill opt for the lundahl transformer in that café. They failed me before, and im situated pretty close to thier factory. However, if it turns out that the lundahl is to big ill concider the haufe traffo.

Edit, I read this post now, I don't know whether I was drunk or what. The Lundal transformers have not failed me. Those I've used so far has cut the cheese. :)

I'll order some haufes also soon, this is their actual price structure:

1 pc = 120,00 Euro

2 pce =  60,00 Euro/pce

3 pce = 48,60 Euro/pce

Excl. packing and shipping costs.

This is what I wrote above: 120 EUR is their minimum order price.
You should order at least 3 pcs. to get the price I mentioned.
Never order a single item or two with Haufe. You just loose money.  ;D
