GSSL meter question (or how to test for ma rating of meter)

Sorry if this has been covered, couldnt find it in the meta..

I have a 600ohm ppm meter from a ward beck console that I would really like to use in my GSSL.

How can I test the ma draw from this meter to determine the resistor value needed?

Hi Jason,

You probably can't use a PPM meter - as the text says, you'll need a linear-scale DC meter at around 1mA.

Couldn't you just sell it on the Black Market - or swap it for a as-great-looking DC-meter?

I've been pondering the idea of using an LED UV style meter on the GSSL...

is it at all possible or is it to much trouble i wonder...
