Hi there!
And...this thing working wery nice!
Each channel have:
Line pre-amplifier (discrete),input trafo;
Gain Elma 11 pos (not shown), pot instead on pict;
Lo 15-800/hi 700-27k 12 db/oct cuts, switchable(relay);
Phase, insert (relay switchable);
Full para EQ 4 bands, bell/shelve lo/hi, S@ntec-kinda stuff
(opa 2604- filters, discrete-sum ckt), gain;freq;q;+/-6/12/off switch;
relay bypass; relay solo/mute assign;
4 aux busses, mix b (or stereo aux buss),P&G faders, fader booster - discrete, threee busses option switching on each channel(2x actives and 1x passive) and some fun facilities....
+/-24v and 4 layer pcb... DEAD quiet gnd layout, >110 db kill on fader/
~=92 db kill on aux min position, and headroom of +/-24v..
as well as all dc servo(I used +/-15v local stab. and ad706)/big blocking caps option...
Sound? GREAT. Without my impressions of man who built it - but friends
ears impressions....

The smoke is from pipe, not from channel :).
Sweepin' EQ from cheap oscillator (scope in x-y sync'd with osc.)
Distortion on analyzer comes from oscillator. Channel measured
0.004% _total_ dist. @ 1k, 0.008% @10k, and 0.02 @ 15Hz(+4 dB input)
on clead sin. oscillator. Squarewave 40K VERY slight overshoot
from input trafo.
Most impressive! You mentioned this some time ago. How long have you been working on it now?
I believe we were still at the old place when he posted a teaser of the traces only. Very Cool! :thumb:

WOW! :shock:
Speachless...

Using opamps to make the aux circuits? OPA604??
Planning to sell boards?

cheers!

Amaaazing!
Where are the other 55 channels? :roll: :green:
PSU, mastersection, tt patchbay, automation, plasma meterbridge ready yet?
I hope its not a problem to cut the potentiometer shafts after the installation? :?: :roll:

Frank.

Frank! True Deutcman! :))))))
1. I build just small console. Have 6 these channels at this moment, 10 in
process, and some other pcb's still in PC...
Planning to finish with 16 mono
(like shown) and 8 stereo channels. Stereo will be just +4db in-
auxes-mix b-assigns, without eq& etc. As well as no any micpre's in this console.
(have'em enough outboard :))
2.PSU done(tweaked up by W.Jung's papers Lambda's 24v 6a);
tt patchbay will take some time, but ADC patches are "stolen" from
nice Motorola racks just some weeks ago; automation not in my plans;
plasma... I think about finding russian IN-13's (true plasma 130mm
tubes), veryhardtofind; if no, cheap Componex or lm3914/16...
cascaded 30 led combo;
3. Shafts can be cutted wih Dremmel just cover channel
with newspaper while cutting :))

BTW, making 4-layer boards is not cheap:)) but with two layers
it is impossible to do same...and not sure folks asked for pcb's will
be patient enough to finish pair of channels-time issue & etc, just mind 225433609 tread...

Hi, can you explain where to find this paper and what is all about?
I don´t know this paper....
Thanks
Lelsie

Mister Jazz,
i'd seen the black knobs on your channel... Sifams?
The 'Deutcman' :green: has knobs which are black and I've enough of them for your console.
OKW Knobs, but without the cap.
They look exacly like the A2613040 type (i think they're the same). Works good on your 6mm alphastat pots. If you don't use the screws of the pots to fasten the frontpanel to the pcbs it looks good, otherwise the screws are seeable. For the 4mm pots you could use these adapter rings to reduce the shaft diameter.

Do you want to use the pot's screws to connect the panel with the pcbs?
I mean... if I use the screw there is at least a 5mm distance from the screw to the broad area of the pot.
What do you use here? washers?

Hi people!
The paper is Improved_PN_Regs.pdf, by Walter Jung,
I don't remember where did I found it, try to search NET.
Just adapted an idea to existing Lambda PS...
@Frank: thanx, I have 500 Sifam knobs at this time. Without caps, too :)
as well as if you want to sell something, you have this pm knob
or Black Market :)
