The update is not current. . . I had drama with my factory contact for the Gen 3 SYT5 and "lost" a complete production run of them, and am re-confirming sample quality again with a different contact on the ground at the factory.

Update on current production of parts. All currently ordered parts have been completed and I am transferring funds for final payment on the orders. Once everything can be consolidated from the various factories I have ordered from, ocean freight will be arranged for the batch. When this arrives, all microphone bodies except for the CU-49 bodies will be restocked with ample supplies to last quite a while.

Note: There are 100 cargo ships currently piled up outside the port of Los Angeles where my shipments enter the US. I anticipate significant additional delays in freight and customs clearing with the holiday season approaching.
Hi Chunger, You've been good about refunding me the last time I ordered some mic bodies from your site and missed that narrow window of opportunity.
I am certainly interested in ordering a couple of the new U-67 bodies whenever they arrive. I've been doing my best to find something workable for Dany's U67 build and have been unsuccessful thus far.

Update: After a very long string if logistical issues, a large shipment of microphone parts has finished production, has been confirmed by my factory and logistical contacts in China, and is finally confirmed on the boat, departed from the port in China and is currently heading to the US. I am not sure how congested the ports currently are in the US, but with the way things are going, I expect additional delays. Here are the currently out of stock items that I will be receiving:

MK47 60mm shock mounts
MK47 bodies
SYT-5 bodies (1st gen)
M25 screw type shock mount (fit SYT-5 gen 1 and GT-2B bodies)
Budget YT-5 bodies (headbaskets for this batch may be worse than previous which were nearly perfect all around)
M21 screw type shock mount for Budget YT-5 body (also fits MK47 bodies)
HT-11A bodies
HT-11A dual ring shock mounts
HT-11A type 1 (single and dual layer. . . . all 4 headbasket styles will be back in stock)
Yoke mount for CU-49 bodies
loose transformers for the TPS-100 power supply

I am working on re-confirming production samples of the Gen 3 SYT-5 bodies again, but have re-established working contacts within that factory. It has been quite a long time between production runs of all of these parts with a lot of logistical setbacks and changes that have happened. I will need to evaluate the quality of parts when they arrive. We have had defects in the past that have rendered somewhat large runs of parts unusable, so I never assume things are good until I get them in my hands.

Also, the trade tensions between US and China may impact tariffs and import duties significantly. I am hoping for the best, but might get hit with a large additional cost once the shipment arrives in the US.

My plan was to move towards having more frequent and smaller production runs of parts to reduce the unreasonable time-frames when things are out of stock, but things have taken much longer than anticipated to produce and ship. Also, various factories refused to supply various parts which either required me to find alternate sources or to increase my order quantities way beyond practical numbers in order to persuade the factory to re-run the parts. It will be nice to have some of the staple bodies back in stock. We will likely have 2+ years of inventory for the budget YT-5 bodies so hopefully, these will not fall off the market again any time soon.

It looks like HT-11A parts and Type 1 headbaskets are ok. Those will be going back in stock for all variants. MK47 bodies had a minor revision, and the production run looks to be ok. Those will definitely be going back in stock. U47 type shock mounts are back as well with ample extras beyond the number of microphone bodies that I ordered.

Budget YT-5 bodies have a major manufacturing error. . . the hole for securing the XLR insert was not drilled in the base piece. Those will not go online until they can send a working component.

We didn't do too badly all things considered. I will be updating stock soon, and hopefully folks that have been waiting for builds can get them going.

I also received loose power transformers from the TPS-100 power supplies so people will be able to build PSU in their own case or replace faulty units. These were regularly requested.

OK. . .this is a surprise. . . I ordered SYT-5 bodies from ShuaiYin as a stop-gap measure so I was expecting the original 1st Gen specification. What I received was a body that has all of the Gen 3 improvements (that I could not get them to implement for me before) included.

1) There are 3 mount holes in the headbasket for easier assembly on the 3 switch configuration
2) The meshing is a 3 layer implementation as opposed to the more open original SYT-5 2 layer config.

I'm not sure if they saw another product come on the market at some point with an alternate specification and decided to emulate. .. or, if another party convinced them to make a batch. But, besides the diameter of the base threading being different, this should functionally work as a Gen 3 body which is unexpected, and now, I will have 2 factory options for the body which will be good for supply chain moving forward.

I am opting to use the same screw type shock mount as the GT-2B microphone as I did not think the 2-strap screw type of the original SYT-5 was as robust or easy to use.

Thanks for the update!
Did you get the M49 yoke mounts?
If yes, can you already estimate the price of these?

M49 yoke mounts and loose TPS-100 transformers are in hand and can be sent out, but I have not yet photographed them for the webstore. Send email, and I can manually invoice for those parts along with anything else you want to combine from the webstore.

After looking through the recent shipment, many item have been re-stocked and are live on the webstore now!

We have run out of C12 PSU PCB's unfortunately, but PCB's have not been too problematic to restock recently. Matador is working on getting another batch made.

Do you have c12 mic pcb’s without the psu pcb?

Yes, I still have the C12 and Ela hybrid mic boards on hand. I can invoice those manually if needed. Just out of PSU boards. Matador is taking the opportunity to make a revision that will address a couple of edge case concerns that have appeared over time.

Hey thanks for the update !
Is there any chance to get the budget bodies YT5 anytime soon?
I was planning to get the SYT but with the shipping rates it's bit expensive for me haha

Hi, I have a problem with the entire run of budget-YT5 bodies that I received. The XLR set screw hole was not drilled on all of the end pieces in the frame so they do not work. A local GroupDIY guy who has a machine shop is willing to help, and I am also in contact with the factory to send me replacement bottom pieces, but they will need to make those, and that takes time. I will know more May 9 when my local machinist friend returns from a trip.

I have been adjusting the shipping rates to match the incremental increases in rates. . . I'll keep monitoring and adjusting, but we refund excess shipping costs via paypal when we ship out. I sortof threw them up on the webstore quickly and will note orders that are excessively out of line and dial in the auto shipping rate calculator as we get the recent influx of orders shipped out.

Hi Chunger,
I agree with Lpierret, the shipping charges are very deterrent!
131 US$ for 2 bodies and 2 wooden boxes to France 1/3 of the price of parts :(
Regards

Hi Guys, Hi Chunger,

I've been accessing studio 939 on a montly basis hoping for the C12kit to be restocked. Does anyone know if it will be restocked any day? Or anyone knows at least where can I find the PCBs for the PSU and the Mic Circuit?

Thanks a lot in advance

Hi Chunger,

I wrote you an email through your webshop some time ago about the yoke mounts.
I now you have a lot to do and I'm in no hurry, just wanted to make sure you got it.
