Came across photo of this beautiful executed point to point C12 DIY.

Anyone has idea where parts and instructions for this mod can be sourced?

Thanks

What do you use for the clear "platforms" that hold the turrets?
Those are part of the FLEA body kits; I have two FLEA kits sitting here waiting on my own PTP C12 builds.

They're acrylic platforms that are custom-made to be damn-near-identical to the parts in vintage C12s (I feel pretty confident they'd drop right in)

Thanks!
Just the DIY C12 going through a DIY 1073 and maybe a little bit of compression with a Distressor if I recall correctly :)
Congrats! Exactly what a good c12 should achieve in my experience. Minimum processing with occasional low cut is all you need for great vocal sound.

@All
Thanks for the nice replies. I am really happy with how the mic turned out. Hope I can share some more material in the future.
Capsule is a OPR CK12 :)

I built two C12’s using Matador boards and Chunger bodies. I used Tim’s Capsules and ordered my transformers directly from Haufe. I believe Moby also makes a tranny. I used his transformers for a pair of U67’s and couldn’t be happier. Love my C12 clones! Good luck!
Any opinion on the c12 clones from microphone-parts.com? I've got a c12 vr but told is not quite the same and d.i.y. could be better.

The RK-12 are edge terminated K67 style capsules.
They have nothing to do with the original CK12 design.
I think Micparts also supply them from a Chinese company. Maybe someone know which company made them.

As my opinion akg style capsules always different than Neumann. They give more wide feeling of sound with bit more details in upper and bottom freq range and rk-12 also works this way. I can't say like one of this capsules is better they just different. Most people's prefer Neumann. But as for me akg style is also very interesting.

I guess ck-12 give more warm and vintage sound than rk-12 with more clear and natural sound. But i didn't test it side by side yet and can't say for sure.

They’re both bright, but he Rk-12 isn’t really close, especially off-axis.
