Hi all,

Got a cheap but slightly damaged SDE-330 to sit with its similar SRV sibling. Can't find the broken parts anywhere though.

SDE/SRV parts are identical but also used on much other Roland kit of the epoch (RSP-550, S-7x0 samplers, DJ-70MKII and many others).

P/Ns from the SDE/SRV-330 Service Manual:
22485149 volume pot knob - inner. F O-KNOB S BLK RACK ROUND KNOB (same as Balance knob)
22485150 volume pot knob - outer. F O-KNOB M BLK RACK OUTER KNOB
13289242 RKO972210 10kB x2 L/R input level (dual concentric)

No joy from the usual sources, I'd love to hear from anyone who could help out.

Cheers,
auto

Hi mate,
at this point exact replacement knobs will be almost impossible to find, maybe only from Roland spare parts department, Did you try them?
Try to contact the spare parts department in different countries and locations, because you will probably receive different replies.

I would try Japan, Australia, USA and UK or Germany in Europe.

If you have no luck from Roland the best thing you could do is 3D Print replacement knobs.
Get a friend with a 3D Printer and they will be really easy to design and print.
Thats what I've been doing to replace old knobs

Best Regards

Hi Whoops,
Thanks for responding.

Roland don't seem to have a centralised spare department any more, just a list of authorised repair contacts - I'm working through the UK ones but tricky during work time; I tried a couple of places in JP but no joy (from the one who replied).

3D print is an option: there's actually a physible here: Roland SDE 330 Knob Set by Kemmer for exactly what I'm looking for (pot excepted), but I like to refurbish with original parts (don't we all?) :)

Asking here's a bit of a last gasp - at some point I will give up, but hope prevails for now!

Cheers,

If Roland doesn't supply them and if you don't get the knobs from a "for parts/not working unit" I really don't see any other way you will get the knobs

Probably time to be practical and 3D print them
My 2 cents

I have included the critical dimensions. However, it is 20kB.

Theoretically used but practically unused. I removed them from unused Heritage 1000 channel strips that I had parted out.

Please PM if it is of interest.
