Hi all,
I'm wondering how the BSS DPR-901 (or equivalent) dynamic equalizer works.
Anyone has an idea? It uses VCA's and state variable filters, that's about all I know about it...
All hints or a schematic are very welcome!
Thanks,
Greetz,

It's in the user manual which is a free download from BSS :thumb:

Looks like it would not be too complicated to turn the CAPS EQ circuit into a dynamic equalizer; replace each band's gain pot with two digital potmeters in series and a digital sidechain to set the amount and speed of compression/expansion per band.
Will have a closer look later...

Didn't find it. Downloaded the manual but didn't see any schem. Didn't I look close enough, or?

Sorry miscommunication. there is no schemo but a nice block diagram which lays it all out as to how it works...
