Title: Egnater Rebel 20 Guitar Amp
Post by: CJ on March 21, 2019, 08:02:41 PM
just a blown B+ fuse, those small sized fuses do not seem to stand up as well as the AG3,

bumped it from 500 ma to 1 A,  as full blast current was up there,

Quad of power tubes, 2 ea 6V6GT and 2 ea EL84 with a blend knob to use either or which is a novel feature,

but we get to have a lookise inside !

PI and mix circuit

i heard no big diff between EL84 vs 6V6, maybe some Amperex 6BQ5's would add a difference,

amp gets slightly louder with the mix knob set for both tubes,

this amp also has a wattage adj knob which  starves the PI via cathode,

and the power amp with OPT info,   about 9K P-P into voice coil,

might be a bit high for both tubes on parallel,

nice sounding amp!   could be simplified as a project by leaving off the mix circuit,
