Hi,
I have an Eckmiller w86a eq that doesn't works well.
The problem is that some of the leaf switches are not getting closed when the gear mechanism is lifting them up / stays closed when they are should be open.
What would be the best way to repair this unit?
Is it possible to get a set of new leaf switches that will be fit to replace the old ones?
Or I should design something like a relays system that will imitate the action of the original switch?

There is a tool for adjusting leaf switches, but I do not know the name for it. I learned about it when repairing vintage electro-mechanical pinball machines, so perhaps one of the vintage gaming suppliers?

So it seems like part of the leaf switches are broken so I would like to design a relays system that will replace the original switches. I was thinking about using dual relays but there's one thing I don't know how to do.
It's easy to create the switching mode that appears on line 20 when point 51 connected to the purple pole and point 25 connected to the red pole.
Now things becomes tricky on lines 21-25 when points 51 and 52 should remain at the same switching position while point 1-5 and 11-15 should be changing according to the switching mode.
Maybe someone here having a good idea how to do this switching?

Much easier to figure out if you have a schematic. Your spreadsheet is very confusing!

Logic gates would give you all the states you need to switch your relays. Machining new tabs might be nice too, would keep it 'vintage' for resale.
Edit: also note And/Or/Nor is easy to wire up with a few 4P2T switches. Most us mortals would need to draft a schematic to know for certain the logic works out.

I've ended up ordering two switches, a 1p12t, one with 3 decks and the other with 4 decks.
It should be work fine that way with no relays.

I also have a W86A i haven't got around to repairing. I haven't had a look yet but thanks for the thread its prompted me to have a look next week.

W86 and W86A are different animals.
While W86 seems to be working with RC filters the W86A working mainly with inductors.

Ahhh, that little "a" makes a BIG difference! ;)
