Talking about display errors...
http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=10006

Yesterday I asked something about my Quadraverb and a few kind people responded - but I can't read what they wrote - the thread won't open

I've tried both at home & at work, but same situation... what could be wrong ? All other threads open just fine, but exactly this one doesn't

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Peter,
afaik the BBS chokes on not working image links, like this one in your post: http://www.sound-o-mat.com/images/QuadraVerbPlus.JPG.

If you know the post number (which looks like this part in the URL you get by email when watching posts: p=number, like in www.groupdiy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=117819#117819

EDIT: 118558 is the number, i think /EDIT

you can try to edit a random post of yours, replacing the p=something with p=numberofthenotworkingposting in the middle of the URL in the browser window, this might get you to the offending posting to remove the image.

Peter,

Sounds like your Quadraverb is causing display problems elsewhere too. Haha! Who'd you piss off at A*lesis?

Thanks Matthias, that did the trick !

Strange the thread showed fine yesterday evening directly after posting but went bad afterwards. Or something going on behind the scenes when the linking to a file get sensed ?

Bye,

Peter

I had a Quadraverb freak out once. It turned out that I needed to reset it by holding the Bypass and Program keys during power up. I think you need to save your user presets or you lose 'em.

Here is a cool site that has bunches of reset info...
http://www.rangeraudio.com/presets.htm

Anyway, I hope it is that simple.[/quote]

No, the resetting procedure just refreshes all programmed data, something else. The display-issue seems a hardware fault.

But thanks for that link, convenient to have around !

Bye/thanks,

Peter

Indeed a strange display-coincidence. Must admit I did took some pics of my faulty display-unit but was too lazy to upload them - so I linked to a pic on line that went strange.
I don't dare too look - if the display of that unit on that pic has a faulty display now as well then there's really something spooky going on :thumb:
