I am nearing the end of obtaining my parts for my LA2A project and already I am thinking of the next project to build (it never ends!).

I would like to build 2 GSSL and mount them in one chassis but I would rather not have 2 power supplies. So I was wondering if anyone knew if the GSSL Power Supply can handle 2 circuits? Otherwise it doesn't look too hard to mod it to handle a bit more juice. Agree?

Thanks.

You could probably do that.

Use at least a 15VA transformer.

Mount psu-related components in only one PCB.

Use 2200uF caps for primary reservoir instead of 1000uF

Distribute 0V, +15, -15, +12, -12 to the other pcb right after the regulators.

Ground only one of the pcb's to chassis.

ps: this kind of topic belongs in the lab, probably even in the ssl-thread...

Thanks Jacob. Sorry about the misfiling, I wasn't sure where to put it.

I am only at the planning in my head stage for the SSL.

Why only ground one board? Avoid ground loop?

Thanks for your help. I'll print out the response to remind me when I start on this project.
