I was just going through my parts boxes in the workshop and found a copy of the 1984 Yamaha Audio IC Guidebook. This was a book put out by Yamaha they basically lists 800 IC's with their Yamaha part numbers, their original manufacturers part numbers, and internal schematics and data for each chip. Too much to scan, but if anyone is working on old Yamaha equipment drop me a PM and I will scan any pages you might like to look at.

It looks to be past the date of my book, but I will look at the schematics of the GS1 / GS2 / DX7 / DX.. on Monday when I get back to the shop and see if I can find any more data.

I think the yamaha YM2612 OPN was used in some old soundcards too, but not in DX series... those are other league and 6 operator FM instead of 4.

Best Regards,

Synthi.

Then the DX-21 and/or DX-11 may be is also 4-operator...

I think all dx-series was Z-80 based.

Best Regards,

synthi.

No, it jumps from iG000110 to iG000370. Do you know the vintage? I am trying to find some other stuff at the moment from a friend at Yamaha Australia, so I will ask him.
