5 pin xlr, wiring balanced stereo, what is the standard ?

I remember this from th SoS forums

via John Willett (the UK Sennheiser tech manger)
5-pin XLR (XLR-5F)
Pin 1 = screen
Pin 2 = Mid +ve (or L +ve in a stereo mic.)
Pin 3 = Mid -ve (or L -ve in a stereo mic.)
Pin 4 = Side +ve (or R +ve in a stereo mic.)
Pin 5 = Side -ve (or R -ve in a stereo mic.)

Wire with a Y cable to two 3-pin XLRs (XLR-3M)
Pin 1 = screen
Pin 2 = +ve
Pin 3 = -ve
 
I just looked up the aes web site and AES14 is available free as a downloadable courtsey copy...

It shows all the connections.... XLR type Polarity and Gender
