Roland 301 tape delay help

'allo chaps,

one of my friends has just asked me to have a look at his 301 delay. he got the tape drive motor replaced a few years ago, but ever since - there has been a high freq. noise coming through the outs.

i was thinking it might be something like the original motor had a surpressor, to get rid of any interference, and the replacement motor hasn't got a supressor fitted ????

i haven't got any drawing for the unit, but any help would be a great help !!

Try shorting the two connections on the motor to ground through two 47nF capacitors, and see if it helps..?
