Advice On S*undcraft DC2000 Purchase

Hi

Got the chance to buy a S*undcraft DC2000 24 channel; automation is defect on 5 channels (faders don't move till -inf), one channel doesn't un-mute und the master bus is not working. Circuits included.

How much would you pay?

dont do it

I had one

take note the word *had*

the LCD will eventually burn out... replacement computers are about $8500 if you can even get em anymore

no you cannnot jus replace the LCD..

I had to rig mine to get it going.. just in time to sell it

theres no soinc character to it etc..

a mackie 32X8 would be a better choice

or a MCP3036 or something

yikes. Mackie 32x8.. Double Yikes.

I'd say wait to see how the Toft console pans out.. or buy a cheap X2 and upgrade like crazy as I did..

Thanks for the answers; I think I'd throw the automation out, don't need that.

Current alternative is a new A&H GL2400; do you think the DC2000 compares in the signal path quality?
