is the SSL 82E26 card just a Quad bus amp, or also quad Comp

have an opportunity to buy an 82E26 card for a fair price.. if it does what i think it does.....

s it just the Quad bus amp card or does it also house the Quad comp? or is that the 82E27 that has the comp in it?

yes i know.
but if you look at both the 26 and the 27 schematics, these both have compressor elements to them.....

exactly - the compressor section is split over several boards..

I'm faced with rebuilding a '26 at the moment. -A local 6000 has the common failure where the sleeving that SSL used to insulate the leads of some components has degraded to the point where it becomes corrosive and dissolves traces and component leads. :shock:

-Is that '26 available??

-theirs is a 6k, which would have been half-loaded (4k was quad, 6k was stereo) but a 4k or a 6k should go into a 6k, whereas only a 4k will go into a 4k.
