Anyone have pictures of the Brent Averill BAE 312A module?
It seems to be the closest thing to the original API: 312 card and the other stuff around (pad, 48v, polarity and DI).

I don't know which way to build, Bauman card (very nice work!) with a Jensen or Lundhal input traffo or wait, wait and wait for the holy 2622 API Graal, clone the original 312 and add stuff around homebuilt or from Rollmusic...

My height 2503 are waiting to hear those drums patterns I told'em.

I've got a couple of OSA lunchbox pre's that I can take some photos of if you would like. They are one of the early designs with a 2520 and what appears to be a Jensen input trafo. They've got 48v, pad, phase, and a d.i. just like the averill stuff.

I will post detailed BAE 312 pics later this evening. Got to work now.

Cheers,

elco

edit: actually, mine are original 312's done by BAE, not the BAE 312A.

OK, here are some Hi-Rez BAE 312 pics.

The other thing to note is that the BAE units do not use the same component values as the API 312 schematic ( at least the one I've seen floatin around the net).

Different cap values, some traces cut and rerouted, etc. This is mainly to support the functionality on the front panel, and to accomodate the input traffo.

Have been meaning to draw it up, but havent' gotten to it yet.
