Hi guys
I am pleased to say that I have compleated building my Joe Malone 1290 (Neve clone).
Unfortunatly I don't own an original or have I used one to comment in it's accuracy but I have also built a JLM 99v and both units are A+ and have sent my Manley and Universal Audio M610 into being my second line of attack (not being unused though as both a very good at adding some valve colour when needed.

Personaly the 1290 is what i have idealy been looking for in a mic pre so a very happy and the support received from Joe equaly outstanding..

Yes I used joe's trannis on the 1290 .This was the easyest thing I've built.
On the 99v I used the Ludhall input and Joe's output (This was very clean) though I just love the character of the 1290.
Just makes things sound the way you expect them to.

Cool :thumb:

The JLM stuff definitley have been the easiest projects for me.
The 1290 is def high on my lust list, but until I have some more $$$ i'm a very happy man with my 99v's.
But oh, how i want some

regards

Steve
